Demaris Rae Bruce, CMT, CPD(NAPCS), CD(DONA)
Demaris Rae Bruce, founder and Director of A Mother's Touch, has over 13 years of experience providing prenatal and postpartum massage and doula care to childbearing women. She is graduate of The Institute for Holistic Studies in Santa Barbara and DouLA: Birth Partners of Los Angeles.
Demaris is certified as a postpartum doula by the National Association of Postpartum Care Services, and as a birth doula by DONA (Doulas of North America). She is a founding member and director of DASC (Doulas Association of Southern California) and currently serves on the Executive Board as Vice President.
Demaris is co-author of Postpartum Business Basics, a business primer for doulas, and co-founder of The Doula Institute, an educational organization that offers doula training workshops and seminars for doulas and other childbirth professionals.
