Our 75 minute relaxation and therapeutic sessions are designed to ease much of the physical discomfort of pregnancy while increasing awareness of your own ability to relax. Learning to relax your body will prepare you for labor. Massage sessions include the use of aromatic oils, soft, relaxing music and the specially designed Prego Pillow™ that allows the expectant mother to experience the massage while laying on her stomach safely and comfortably. Postpartum sessions also available.
For information on the Prego Pillow™, please contact Body's Kneaded at (800) 55-PREGO
Continuous support from an experienced birthing companion can assist you in creating the childbirth experience you desire. Birth doulas draw on their knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and, as needed, communication with caregivers to make sure you have the information required to make informed decisions in labor. Our doulas provide non-clinical support during early labor at home and will accompany you and your partner to the hospital or birth center.
A doula from A Mother's Touch can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort.
As an alternative to continuous labor support, massage techniques used in early labor can provide relaxation, comfort and support, assisting you in creating a peaceful environment for your birth.
